I am Danita Tracy-Carter (she/her), is a doula based out of Douglas County and serves families in Douglas, Coos, Curry, and Lane County. The traditional homelands of the Kalapuya, Umpqua, Tekelma, Ko-Kwel, and Yoncalla people.
What is a doula?
A doula is an emotional and educational support person that does not perform any medical tasks. I am here to assist you in research, advocacy and education through bodily health, herbalism and emotional wellness.
Services
I offer Full Spectrum Doula Support in the range of Birth experience including Abortion, Birth, Postpartum, and Grief Supports. The services I provide are customizable to the clients’ specific needs. Such services include massage, relaxation and visualization techniques, aromatherapy, acupressure, herbal support, Rebozo support, providing suggestions for different positions utilizing the birthing ball, music and other techniques for providing comfort measures before, during and after labor. As your doula, I work with you and your family and aim to be an advocate for your needs.
I provide informational support as well as emotional, physical, spiritual and nutritional support before, during and after your pregnancy. I will assist in advocating for and communicating your needs to other birth attendants as well as provide you with educational support to help you make empowered and informed decisions during the event of your birth.
Birth Doula Support
As your birth doula, I will help you to prepare for your birth as well as accompany you during labor to help ensure a healthy birth experience for you and your baby. I provide informational support as well as emotional, physical, spiritual and nutritional support before, during and after your pregnancy. I will assist in advocating for and communicating your needs to other birth attendants as well as provide you with educational support to help you make empowered and informed decisions during the event of your birth.

What’s good! My name is Danita Tracy- Carter (she/her) and I am a birthworker practicing in Southern Oregon. I serve clients both virtually and in-person within my private practice as a full- spectrum doula, community herbalist, and gardener.
I began my birthworking journey in 2023 after taking the full-spectrum doula training with Mama Shafia at SMC.
